10. Project collaborators from NSQI Bristol visited the Rector of Kaunas University of Technology on 13th October, 2011 to discuss how to continue and develop the collaboration between RCMN KTU and NSQI / BCFN Bristol.

9. A workshop discussing possibilities of joint FP7 proposal submission by project partners and other forms of future collaboration took place on 20th September, 2011 at NSQI Bristol.

8. Conclusions and recommendations of the Strategic Workshop were delivered to Minister of Science and Education and Minister of Economy 2010.11.20 during the seminar and discussion between Lithuanian Business Employers' Confederation, Ministry of Science and Education and Ministry of Economy.
V.Snitka made a presentation with conclusions of the Strategic workshop about the main discussions and recommendations for national RTD policy.
7. Strategic Workshop on Converging technologies and Regional Competitiveness took place in Vilnius, September 28, 2010, ( www.nanomat-strategy.eu).
6. The Mid-term assessment meeting and Steering Committee meeting took place in Palanga, Lithuania on September 10, 2010 in conjunction with NANOMAT project International Scientific Session, Baltic Polymer Symposium (www.nanomat-vision.eu)

5. Representatives of project partners visited Research Center for Microsystems and Nanotechnology, KTU on June 29 - July 02 , 2010. During this visit a discussion on FP7 joint project proposal preparation has taken place.
Project coordinator Prof. Valentinas Snitka discussed the project actions with Prof. Sami Franssila and Dr. Kestutis Grigoras (TKK) and gave the broad overview of Kaunas University of Technology research activities. This was followed by a visit to TKK laboratories.

Project coordinator Prof. Valentinas Snitka and partners from National Microelectronics Centre made presentations about the research activities and possible areas of collaboration. Partners discussed the project actions and action plan was confirmed. This was followed by a visit to CNM laboratories..


Dr. Arturas Ulcinas, post-doc at Bristol University, Prof. Mervyn Miles group moved to senior research fellow position at RCMN-KTU.
Prof. Daniel Robert, Head of NanoScience and Quantum Information Centre and Fred Hale, manager of NSQI centre, Bristol University and Prof. Valentinas Snitka KTU are discussing the collaboration agreement.
The strategic partner collaboration agreement and action plan were signed during the meeting.
